Visited my favorite mid-century vintage store today! Looking for unique containers to store pantry items in for when I convert my kitchen cabinets to open shelving. Also looking for kitschy wall art
Wall color II
Amy Lorene asked why I am doing a blue tinted white for my walls.
Blue is a soothing color. It project relaxation and calming energy. I am a nanny for two soon to be 18 month olds; when I get home I need a calm energy to surround me!
Also, I love the color blue. It’s really flattering to my skin tone. I always have a blue bathroom because I feel it gives a great background for doing my makeup.
So by tinting my white with blue, I’m getting a color that appeals to me, but watered down.
You can tint your white any color you’d like. Pinks make a room feel warmer. White just makes your space seem bigger, but plain ole white bores me, and I assume I’m not the only one.
love all this brick!!

Wall Colors
My loft does not have a large bank of windows like a lot of lofts have. Therefore, I need to make sure that I can redirect and fake as much natural light as possible.
I will do this by painting the entire space white, with a tint of blue. This will create the illusion of not only a bigger more uniform space, but it will make the room seem brighter.
I am currently testing out a couple of colors.
My amazing covered patio
I am a Pinterest addict. Like it soothes me. I am OCD when it comes to my board organization. I am sorry, I like to be able to find stuff easily.
I have one board (easily found because it is the very first board on my page) dedicated to inspiration for my loft. I will be pulling images from there to feature on posts here.
Maybe my inspiration will inspire you as well!

The laundry closet is very large, and has shelving on one side. I’ll definitely add more! The bedroom closet is as big as my current kitchen. I don’t own enough clothes to fill it
There is no possible way to photograph just how large the bathroom is. Its such an odd shape. The shower stall has a tub inside, just like those luxury showers on Pinterest. This stall has nasty tile though, and no overhead light. There is also a shower head to the left and right when you open the stall door. Very pornotastic
This is the bedroom area that is located on the other side of the lighted wall; It’s quite large.
This is the teeny kitchen. I hate the cabinets. They will be taken out eventually to make way for open shelving. The phallic lights will go bye bye as well
This is the great room. A old garage door can come down and block off the window, and door; but who’d want that. The dark red wall has a funky angle to it, but it won’t stay dark for long. Oh, and the lighted wall will be demolished!
Where I will call home starting in July. There is the amazing skyline view from the rooftop deck, a huge dog run, and a gym on site. I’ve seen hints at other awesome amenities, but have yet to have them clarified
